Abstract
A color display device (D) is provided, including a colored light-transmitting base material (), a light-blocking base material, and a light source unit () that has at least a part located between the colored light-transmitting base material () and the light-blocking base material (), in which the colored light-transmitting base material () has a total light transmittance of 18% or less, and in which the light source unit () is disposed such that emission light transmits through the colored light-transmitting base material (), the color display device having excellent designability and high luminance.
