Abstract
A twin-screw extruder is provided in which screws have different rotational speeds depending on the process of treating the raw material and in which degradation of the raw material is less likely to occur. Twin-screw extruderhas two screwsthat extend in parallel to each other. Each screwhas cylindrical upstream screwand downstream screw, wherein upstream screwhas shaft holethat extends in longitudinal direction X and screw flighton an outer circumferential surface thereof, and downstream screwincludes large diameter portionhaving screw flighton an outer circumferential surface thereof and small diameter shaft portionthat has a smaller diameter than large diameter portion, wherein small diameter shaft portionof downstream screwis inserted into shaft holeof upstream screw. Upstream screwand downstream screwcan be independently rotated. Twin-screw extruderfurther includes upstream rotating mechanismthat rotates upstream screwsof two screws, and downstream rotating mechanismthat rotates downstream screwsof two screws
