Abstract
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of muscle disease comprising aberry extract as an active ingredient. The composition of the present invention alleviates the decrease in muscle weight and muscle fiber cross-sectional area caused by muscle atrophy, and reduces the increase in expression of MuRF-1 (Muscle RING-finger protein-1) and atrogin-1, which are involved in proteolysis of muscle proteins, so that it can be effectively used to prevent, ameliorate or treat muscle disease.
