Abstract
A fiber optic adapter includes a first side wall (), a second side wall () opposite the first side wall, a top wall (), and a bottom wall () opposite the top wall. A cavity () is defined by the top wall, the bottom wall, the first side wall, and the second side wall, and an optical fiber alignment device () is situated in the cavity. The top wall () has an opening () therein, and a cover () is configured to selectively close the opening.
