Abstract
An LED module according to the present invention includes an LED unitand a case, where the LED unit includes an LED chip, and the caseincludes a main bodymade of a ceramic material and a padon which the LED unitis mounted. The outer edgeof the padis positioned inward of the outer edgeof the LED unitas viewed in plan. These arrangements prevent the light emission amount of the LED module Afrom reducing with time.
