A system for delivering articles () from a start point () to a destination point (), having at least one drone (), which a) has a flight control unit () configured for autonomous flying, b) has at least one flight motor realized as an electric motor (), c) has a battery () that supplies the flight motor with voltage, d) has a programmable control () unit, and e) on its underside has a coupling () for electrical, and preferably also mechanical, connection, having a control center (), which is wirelessly connected to the control unit () of the drone (), having a mobility network consisting of a fleet of vehicles (), in particular road vehicles, each vehicle having a drone carrier (), which has a mating coupling () that acts in combination with the coupling (), and having a digital mobility platform (), which is wirelessly connected to the fleet of vehicles () and which is informed about their travel schedules, drone carriers () and current locations of the vehicles (), and is connected to the control center ().
