Abstract

The invention relates to a print head () for a 3D printer (), comprising a feed section () having a feeder () for a starting material () that is variable in the viscosity thereof; a plasticizing zone () having a heater () and an outlet opening () for the liquid phase () of the starting material (); and a conveying device () for conveying the starting material () from the feed section () to the plasticizing zone (), wherein the conveying device () comprises a piston () that can be inserted into the feed section (). The invention is characterized in that the piston () has a first piston portion () facing the plasticizing zone () and having a guide surface (), through which the piston () is guided in a bore () of the print head ().
