Abstract

Materials and methods are provided for making plants (e.g.,varieties) that are suitable for producing therapeutic polypeptides suitable for administration to humans and animals, particularly by making TAL effector endonuclease-induced mutations in genes encoding xylosyltransferases and fucosyltransferases.
