A package delivery boxis disclosed. It comprises a containerfor accommodating at least one package, an openable lidattached to the container, a closing mechanism for closing the container, and a locking mechanism for locking the closed container. The closing mechanism comprises a pressure plateat a base of the container, a stringconnecting the pressure platewith the lid, and at least one pull springbetween the lidand the container, and the locking mechanism comprises a flexible rodbeneath the pressure plateand directly connected to the pressure plate, a sliderconnected to the flexible rod, and a holein the lid, wherein the holeis adapted to accommodate insertion of the flexible rodtherein.
