Abstract
Provided is a process for preparation of a compound of Formula 1 where, ring Y and ring Z are each independently a 5-membered or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; Zand Zare each independently C or N; each Rand Rindependently represents mono to the maximum possible number of substitutions, or no substitution; x=1, 2, or 3; y=0, 1, or 2; and x+y=3. Disclosed is a chemical synthesis process that involves contacting a compound of Formula 2 with a compound of Formula 3 in an organic solvent to yield a compound of Formula 1
