Abstract

A stackable box () for accommodating and for transporting articles and for stacking in a stacking direction () with at least one other box () of the same type, wherein the box () has a base () and a side wall (), which projects beyond the base () and surrounds the base () at least partially, wherein the base () and the side wall () together bound an accommodating space () for the articles, wherein the side wall () contains at least two, spaced-apart adapters in order for the box () to be gripped mechanically by means of at least one gripping device (), said adapters in the side wall () being designed in each case in the form of channels () which extend longitudinally in a longitudinal-extent direction () running parallel to the stacking direction (), wherein the channels () each have an entry opening () and an exit opening () and, therebetween, an inner channel cavity () which is bounded by a channel-boundary wall () of the box (), extends longitudinally in the respective longitudinal-extent direction () and through which the gripping device () is guided.
