Abstract

The present invention relates to a labelling machine () for applying labels () to receptacles () comprising a web () having a succession of decorative patterns (); a cutting unit () configured to cut said web () so as to obtain individual labels (); a conveying means () configured to advance the individual labels (); a control unit () configured to control a positioning of the web () in relation to a reference station (); a determination device () configured to determine and/or detect a relative positioning of the decorative patterns () in relation to the reference station (); and a removal device () configured to remove incorrect labels () that are determined and/or detected as a function of the relative positioning of the decorative patterns () in relation to the reference station ().
