Abstract

A substantially planar absorbent core () extending in a transversal direction (x) and a longitudinal direction (y), and comprising a core wrap (') enclosing an absorbent material () substantially free of cellulose fibers, the absorbent material forming a pattern of discrete absorbent material areas.
