Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for preparing substituted imidazole derivatives of the formula (II) from compounds of the formula (I) via intermediates of the formula (IVa) or (IVb) in which the structural elements shown in the formulae (I), (II), (IVa) and (IVb) have the meanings given in the description.
