Abstract

A non-aqueous electrolyte solution and a lithium secondary battery including the same are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a non-aqueous electrolyte solution includes a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and a compound represented by Formula 1 as an additive. The compound has an excellent effect of removing a decomposition product, such as HF and PF, generated from the lithium salt in the electrolyte solution. The lithium secondary battery has improved high-temperature storage characteristics by including the non-aqueous electrolyte solution.
