Abstract
The present invention provides an electronic device including a display and a processor operationally connected with the display to control the display. The processor displays a first execution screen corresponding to a first application on a main region, displays a second execution screen corresponding to a second application, on a first sub-region among a plurality of sub-regions displaying execution screens corresponding to a plurality of applications other than the first application, and increases a size of the first sub-region based on an input to the second application to display the increased first sub-region as an expanded first sub-region. The expanded first sub-region is overlapped with at least a portion of the main region and/or at least a portion of a second sub-region which is a sub-region other than the first sub-region, and the expanded first sub-region is visually displayed as an upper layer than the main region and the second sub-region.
