Abstract

A stable and highly accurate gas detections apparatus is provided. A gas detection apparatusincludes a light emitting elementprovided on a main surfaceof the substratefor emitting light from a light emitting surface; a light receiving elementprovided on the main surfaceof the substratefor receiving the light on a light receiving surface; and a light guide memberfor guiding the light emitted by the light emitting elementto the light receiving element. In plan view of the main surface of the substrate, the light emitting surfaceand the light receiving surfaceare shaped to have corners, and side of the light emitting surfaceafter being subjected to a magnification or reduction and a translation do not overlap sides of the light receiving surface
