Abstract
An apparatus for generating random numbers () is described, comprising: a detection device () sensitive to the pass-through of muons (μ) and suitable to provide a first detection signal (S) representing at least one parameter associated with the pass-through of a single muon; a processing device () configured to receive the first detection signal (S) and to generate at least one random number (RN) as a function of a mathematical rule and of said at least one parameter.
