Abstract

A control device () for a parking brake device has an electronic device () by means of which, in the event of failure of a power supply system of a vehicle equipped with the control device () and the parking brake device during a procedure for parking the vehicle, at least one activation signal () can be output to a triggering device () of the parking brake device, so that the triggering device () can be activated by means of the at least one activation signal () and the parking brake device can be transferred to a locking mode by means of the activated triggering device (), such that the vehicle is locked in its current parking position by means of the parking brake device present in its locking mode.
