Abstract
Problem: To provide a light source unit that can be housed in a narrow space, can be curved to match the shape of the space, and can emit linear light in a desired lighting pattern, and a vehicle lamp equipped with this light source unit. Solution: A light source unitis comprised of a strip of translucent filmin which LEDsare embedded and strips of lensesthat cover the translucent filmon the top and back surfaces thereof. The lensesare provided with a light collecting portionthat collects the light from the LEDsand a reflective portionthat changes the direction of the light incident from the light collecting portionon the surface opposite the surface on which the light collecting portionis provided. The LEDsare arranged linearly along the longitudinal direction of the translucent film, and each can be independently controlled for lighting.
