Abstract
A white ink is provided. The white ink comprises water and hollow particles having a volume average particle diameter of from 300 to 800 nm. Each of the hollow particles comprises a hollow resin particle and an inorganic layer covering a surface of the hollow resin particle. The hollow resin particle has a resin layer having an average thickness of from 25 to 100 nm. The inorganic layer has an average thickness of from 5 to 20 nm.
