Abstract

An elevator car () for carrying a load in a vertical direction. The elevator car includes at least one elevator car door () carrying a door coupling () and a camera mount () comprising a mounting location () for a camera (). The camera mount () is located at the top of the elevator car () with the mounting location () positioned for a camera () to monitor the door coupling (). The camera mount is deformable at least in the vertical direction, when acted on by a downwards force, such as to protect the door coupling () from being impacted by the camera mount ().
