Abstract

An image capturing system (), and a corresponding method, for determining the position of an embossed structure () on a sheet element () moved though a viewing area (). It includes a camera () adapted for capturing a line image of the surface of the sheet element () in the viewing area (), and an illumination unit () with a plurality of light sources (, . . . ) each adapted for illuminating the viewing area ().
