Provided are a mounting member and a building wall structure that allow a mounting operation to be performed with ease. A mounting membercan be equipped with an abutment member. The mounting memberincludes a substrate portion, a wall portion, a protruding portion, a supporting portion, a first locking portion, and a second locking portion. The wall portionprotrudes from one side edgeA of the substrate portionrelative to the substrate portion. The protruding portionprotrudes from the other side edgeB side of the substrate portionto the same side as the wall portion, and has a length Lof protrusion from the substrate portionshorter than the length of protrusion of the wall portionfrom the substrate portion.
