Abstract

A basic value setting unit () sets the basic value of the frame rate of a game screen, based on a setting operation by a user. A determination unit () determines as to the presence or absence of an operation relative to an operating unit while a game is being executed. A frame rate changing unit () changes the frame rate of the game screen, based on the result of determination by the determination unit (), while the game is being executed. A frame rate changing unit () sets the frame rate to a value lower than the basic value when no operation relative to the operating unit () is performed while the game is being executed.
