Abstract
A rechargeable lithium battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte including a lithium salt, wherein at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode includes a current collector, an electrode tab extending from the current collector, an active material layer disposed on the current collector, and a passivation film formed on at least one of the current collector and the electrode tab.
