Abstract
Disclosed are methods for the prevention or treatment of a disease or infection caused by or associated within a subject infected by, the method comprising orally administering a halogenated salicylanilide such as niclosamide to the subject. The method may be used for the prevention or treatment of, for example dyspepsia, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, premalignant gastric lesions, gastric cancer and gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma.
