Abstract

A method for optimized server picking in a virtual private network (VPN) environment, the method receiving, from a user device, a preference of the user device with respect to a VPN server for establishing a VPN connection; receiving user device information associated with the user device; determining, based at least in part on the preference and the user device information, a subset of a plurality of VPN servers; and determining, from the subset of a plurality of VPN servers, a VPN server as an optimal VPN server for establishing the VPN connection. Various other aspects are contemplated.
