An object of the present invention is to provide an aluminum phospite having spherical shape. An aluminum phosphite of the present invention has the following formula.Al(OH)(HPO)HO wherein: x represents 2.01 or more and 2.50 or less, y represents 0.03 or more and 1.50 or less, and z represents an integer of 0 to 4, respectively.
