Abstract
A cutting element () for a tool with an electrically conductive track () formed at a surface region. The cutting element () comprises a HPHT produced polycrystalline diamond body. The conductive track () comprises graphite such that the electrically conductive track () has an electrical resistance substantially lower than that of the surface region.
