Abstract

A cooling system () for use in a non-invasive medical cooling process to cool at least one portion of the body of a person () by means of a cooling fluid flowing through a cooling pad (), comprising a first pump, a fluid outlet conduit (), a fluid inlet conduit (and; —a second pump () arranged to pump cooling fluid through a fluid bypass conduit () from the fluid inlet conduit () to the fluid outlet conduit (), wherein—the cooling system () is arranged such that cooling fluid is transported from the tank () to the fluid outlet conduit () when the first pump () is operated and such that cooling fluid is transported from the fluid inlet conduit () to the fluid outlet conduit when the second pump () is operated.
