Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a content delivery control apparatus, a content delivery control method, a program, and a content delivery system capable of achieving commonality of conditions associated with transcoding at the time of content delivery in different CDNs and supporting a standard upload interface. In a case in which definition information is stored in a metadata file, transcoding of an original segment is controlled on the basis of the definition information. Meanwhile, in a case in which access information for accessing the definition information is stored in the metadata file, then the definition information is requested on the basis of the access information, and the transcoding of the original segment is controlled on the basis of the definition information received in response to the request. The present disclosure is applicable to a content delivery system that delivers a content using MPEG-DASH.
