Abstract
A head-up display includes: a display medium onto which a virtual image is projected; a display that displays an image; and a projection optical system that forms the virtual image on a side opposite an observer across the display medium. The projection optical system includes a mirror disposed above the display. 3<α−(θ+φ)/2<11.7 is satisfied, where θ denotes an angle between a line segment connecting centers of the mirror and the display and a normal line at the center of the mirror, α denotes an angle between the line segment connecting the centers of the mirror and the display and a normal line at the center of the display, and φ denotes an inclination angle at an edge of the mirror closer to the display relative to the center of the mirror.
