Aspects of the disclosure relate to an article top engaging device, a carrier for packaging one or more articles and a blank for forming the carrier. The article carriercomprises an engaging paneland an article top engaging device RT defined therein. The engaging panelhas at least one top-receiving opening defined by an aperture Adefined therein and having a perimeter. The engaging panelcomprises a plurality of cut lineseach extending radially away from the perimeter. Each of the cut linescomprises a linear portionand an arcuate portion. The arcuate portionis contiguously arranged with the linear portion. The engaging panelcomprises a fold lineextending between the linear portionsof adjacent pairs of the plurality of cut linesso as to define engaging tabsfoldably connected to the engaging paneland struck therefrom.
