Abstract

In one aspect, a network (e.g., a TRP) () uses handover triggering information to detect whether a handover triggering condition is present before a radio link fails, and initiates a handover upon detecting the handover triggering condition. In another aspect, a target TRP () is provided with beam generating information that enables the target TRP () to produce a high-gain beam for use in communicating with a UE () without having to perform a beam refinement procedure.
