Abstract

The disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). An operation method of a communication node in a wireless communication system is provided. The operation method includes generating a default beam pattern, based on a plurality of radio-frequency (RF) paths, by applying beamforming parameters, detecting a path failure associated with at least one RF path among the plurality of RF paths, identifying beamforming parameters based on the default beam pattern in response to the detection, and generating a recovered beam pattern associated with the default beam pattern based on the identified beamforming parameters, wherein the beamforming parameters for generating the recovered beam pattern are determined based on a shape of the default beam pattern.
