Abstract

Various embodiments of the present invention relate to: an electronic device for providing a voice-based service to a user by additionally using an input/output function of an external device connected through near-field communication; a server device; and an operation method thereof. The electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention includes: a housing; a display exposed through a portion of the housing; a speaker; a microphone; a wireless charging circuit; a wireless communication circuit; a battery; a processor operatively connected to the display, the speaker, the microphone, the charging circuit, the communication circuit, and the battery; and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory can store instructions which upon being executed cause the processor to: receive information about an external wireless charging device from the external wireless charging device through the charging circuit; control the charging circuit to charge the battery with power received from the external wireless charging device; transmit at least a portion of the received information to an external server through the communication circuit; receive a response from the external server through the communication circuit, the response being related to a voice-based service using the microphone, the speaker, and/or the display; and at least partially activate, deactivate, or change the voice-based service on the basis of at least a portion of the response while charging the battery.
