Abstract

An apparatus () for assembling several beverage containers () into a multipack () is disclosed. The apparatus () comprises a horizontal conveying device () for moving groupings (), each grouping () comprising several beverage containers (). The apparatus () also comprises at least one working device () that applies packaging blanks () to the groupings (). The beverage containers () of a grouping () pass through openings in the packaging blank () and are held together by the packaging blank (). The apparatus () furthermore comprises at least one handling apparatus () which places the beverage containers () on the horizontal conveying device () such that the beverage containers () are in alignment with respect to one another. The alignment of the beverage containers () allows the packaging blank () to be applied to the beverage containers () directly upon their placement on the horizontal conveying device ().
