Abstract
A prosthesis assembly () for orthopaedic implantation comprises a prosthesis body () and an attachment portion () coupled to the prosthesis body () for attaching the prosthesis assembly () to a bone by way of a bone anchor () or other fixating means. The attachment portion () comprises an opening () having a receiving portion () with a first cross-sectional transverse width and a retaining portion () extending from the receiving portion (), the retaining portion () having a second cross-sectional transverse width, which is less than the first cross-sectional transverse width. A system comprising the prosthesis assembly () includes a bone anchor () having a fastening member () for engaging the opening () and a stem () for securing to the bone.
