Abstract

The invention relates to a device () having a stent structure () intended for the insertion into blood vessels of the human or animal body, wherein the stent structure () assumes an expanded state during which it is in contact with the inner wall of the blood vessel and a contracted state during which the stent structure being located in a microcatheter can be moved through the blood vessel, wherein the stent structure () preferably being connected at its proximal end with an delivery wire () and wherein the device () being employed for the treatment of vasospasm. Moreover, the invention also relates to a relevant method for the treatment of vasospasm.
