The information providing method may include acquiring a search term from a user, identifying at least one first category related to a product corresponding to the search term, identifying a second category corresponding to a subcategory of the first category and an image corresponding to the second category, and displaying a product list corresponding to the search term in a first region and displaying the image and information on the second category in a second region distinct from the first region.
