Abstract
The present invention relates to a peptide derived from the defensin-3 from the red flour beetle, to pharmaceutical compositions containing same, and to the use thereof as an antimicrobial in the treatment of infections caused by gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and fungi. The invention also relates to the use of the peptide and pharmaceutical compositions containing same, in the treatment of cancer, particularly breast cancer.
