Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for transmitting data from an object () on board an aircraft () to a server () of a network of connected objects (), the method comprising: if the aircraft () is detected as being in flight, the sending () of the data item by the object () to an aircraft radio communication device () of the aircraft () for communication with the ground, and the transmission of the data item by the aircraft communication system () to a ground station (), for subsequent retransmission of the data item by the ground station () to the server (); and, if the aircraft () is detected as not being in flight, the sending () of the data item by the object () to the server () without passing through the aircraft radio communication system () of the aircraft ().
