Abstract

Selective potassium channel agonists and methods of use thereof are disclosed. A compound, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, having a formula I wherein Ris H or optionally-substituted alkyl; Ris optionally-substituted C-Calkyl or optionally-substituted cyclopropyl; Rand Rare each independently H or optionally-substituted alkyl; Ris H, optionally-substituted alkyl, acyl, or alkoxycarbonyl; Rand Rare each independently H, optionally-substituted alkyl, or Rand Rtogether form a carbocycle; Ris substituted phenyl or optionally-substituted pyridinyl, provided that if Ris substituted phenyl, then Ris optionally-substituted cyclopropyl; and R, Rand Rare each independently H, halo, or optionally-substituted alkyl.
