Abstract
Described are passenger seats () having a seat bottom () connected to the seat frame () at a hinge () at an aft portion of the seat bottom (), and having a release mechanism () operably connected with the seat bottom () that, when actuated by a user, cause the seat bottom () to be released from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration, whereby the seat bottom () is free to rotate downward, independent of a seat back (), about the hinge () to a tilted position in order to increase a range of available angles between the seat bottom () and seat back ().
