Abstract

The brake pad (A,B) comprises a lining () made of friction material and a plate () supporting the lining (). The lining () comprises: —a rear edge () located on the side where the disk () is able to come out of an interface with the pad (A,B) when the disk () rotates in an direction of travel of the vehicle, and a front edge (); —a collection groove () that opens into the friction face () and is located close to the rear edge (). The lining () has a rear region () comprising the rear edge () and the collection groove (), and a front region () comprising the front edge (), the front region () having a chamfered portion () such that an area of a friction surface of the front region () increases when a thickness of the front region () decreases.
