Abstract
A passenger seat back can include a rearward surface, a tray table () deployable away from the rearward surface of the seat back, and a shelf () independent from the tray table (). The shelf () can include a support surface () and at least one pivot () pivotally coupling the support surface () to the rearward surface of the seat back. For example, the support surface () may support a passenger's personal entertainment device or other item at a variety of viewing orientations and apart from the tray table ().
