Abstract
The present invention relates to multilayer packaging structure () for a thin film battery () wherein a metal layer () is sandwiched between a first layer () and a second layer (). A first opening () is arranged in the first layer () such that a first portion () of the metal layer () associated with the first opening () is exposed and is configured to be able to be in electrical contact with a current collector of the thin film battery ().
