Abstract
An electric machine () having a stator () and having a rotor () rotatably mounted to the stator () is specified. The stator () comprises a stator winding (), at least three teeth (), and at least three grooves (). In each case, one tooth () of the stator () is arranged between two grooves () along a circumference of the stator (), and the stator winding () has at least three coils (), wherein each of the coils () is wound around a tooth () of the stator (), so that the stator winding () is a concentrated winding. In addition, the winding direction of all coils () is the same, each of the coils () is designed to be fed with its own phase current, and the stator () is designed to generate at least two rotary fields having different numbers of pole pairs independently of each other, in particular simultaneously. In addition, an activation unit () for the electric machine () and a method for operating an electric machine () are specified.
