Abstract

A chip scattering prevention cover () is attached to a head portion () of a rotary cutter (). The cover () includes an annular portion () configured to be detachably fitted over an outer peripheral edge of the head portion (), and a plate portion () extending inwardly of the annular portion () from an inner circumference portion of the annular portion (). The plate portion () is configured to cover a region of a cutout gap () of the rotary cutter () corresponding to the head portion () with the annular portion () being fitted over the head portion (). The annular portion () and the plate portion () are flush with a surface of the head portion () when the annular portion () is fitted over the head portion ().
